"Sorry Usa, sorry Obama, che vergogna"
Sul blog del NYTimes le scuse degli italiani

ROMA - Da Berlusconi scuse non ne arrivano, ma sono una valanga quelle riversate sul blog The Caucus del New York Times, a firma di italiani indignati, cui la "carineria" del premier - che volendo fare un complimento, ha poi spiegato, ha definito Barack Obama "abbronzato" - non solo non fa ridere, ma risulta offensiva e sollecita uno sfogo immediato in rete.

Il blog a commento dell'articolo della corrispondente Rachel Donadio sulla battuta di Silvio Berlusconi nei confronti del neo-presidente eletto degli Stati Uniti è stato preso d'assalto dai lettori - tra cui, appunto, moltissimi italiani - che hanno postato le loro opinioni in 64 pagine di interventi.

"Sono italiana e il mio inglese è terribile ma MI DISPIACE per il presidente Obama. Il primo ministro Berlusconi non è il mio primo ministro", scrive in inglese Rossana, post numero 1576. Subito sotto di lei Giuseppe ricorda altri commenti, che potrebbero essere sfuggiti al pubblico americano, "pronunciati da ministri del governo italiano: 1) Al Qaeda è ora contenta per la vittoria di Obama. 2) La politica economica di John McCain era migliore di quella di Barack Obama... Sono estremamente spiacente - scrive anche lui in inglese - ma per favore, cercate di non dimenticare che la maggior parte degli italiani non sono così idioti come loro".

Christian, in un inglese un po' maccheronico ma sicuramente spontaneo propone uno scambio: "Voi ci date Obama, noi Berlusconi....please please...". Piersimone, invece, è laconico: "Sorry Usa, Sorry Obama". Qualcuno offre spiegazioni sociologiche: "Vengo dal sud Italia e nel mio paese è assolutamente normale usare un linguaggio offensivo su questioni di razza e di donne. Il nostro primo ministro offre un buon esempio della mentalità di qui", spiega Pierfrancesco.

I toni possono variare ma il messaggio imbarazzato è sempre lo stesso: "Scusateci per queste parole stupide" (Laura), pronunciate da un "piccolo, stupido, uomo" (Ciro Oddo, messaggio numero 1527), "Dio benedica Obama e lasci Berlusconi fuori dal nostro governo". "Mi dissocio. In questo momento mi vergogno di essere italiana", scrive ancora Mirella, 28 anni. O Save, che scrive da Padova: "Sono un altro italiano, volevo dirvi scusa da parte del nostro primo ministro. Mi vergogno". E Gigi: "In Italia abbiamo un virus pericoloso...E' Berlusconi".

Un vero e proprio sfogo collettivo sul web che in poche ore ha intasato il blog sul sito del quotidiano di New York, su cui ora appare una scritta che avverte: "Non si possono più accettare commenti". L'ultimo post pubblicato è quello di Vale e Erica: "Siamo due ragazze italiane e non abbiamo parole per descrivere la stupidità di Berlusconi... Eppure la gente qui continua a credere alle sue promesse vane. Chiediamo scusa per "the biggest idiot of Italy, 'our' Silvio".
